Q. Hi, I was wondering if you had the live version that the ZoeGirls did of the song Plain. It was some kind of TV performance, and the video was kind of blue-ish. It was very simple, just Kristin singing and playing the piano, with Alisa and Chrissy sitting down behind her doing back-up vocals. If you had it, it would be cool if you could upload it/post it because I’ve been looking for it forever. I used to have it a while ago but I lost it.

A. Unforunately, I have never heard of this video! It sounds really cool, and I hope that if you do ever find it, you can let us know and share it with other ZG fans!

Q. Does ZOEgirl have a song called “This isn’t Love anymore?”
–>Asked by Hilary
A. Great question!  When I first started listening to ZOEgirl, I saw a couple of YouTube AMV’s with this song in the background. But as I listened to the song, I realized that the voices sounded nothing like ZOEgirl. It turns out the song is by an artist named ZOE, and many people got confused-due to the one-time high popularity of ZOEgirl-and thought it was by Chrissy, Kristin and Alisa. In fact, ZOEgirl was originally going to call themselves ZOE, but couldn’t since the name was taken by the singer of this song.

There is a line in this song that says “God, I don’t need your love anymore.” Does that sound like something a Christian artist would sing? So, rest assured, ZOEgirl did not sing this song.

Some other songs that people think are by ZOEgirl but which aren’t: “All Who Are Thirsty” (actually by an accapella group called ZOEgroup), “Go On” (by Aurora), “Ordinary Girl” (artist unknown), and “Love Can Change so Much” (artist unknown).

Q. Where can I find the song “I’ll Try?”
–>Asked by Dan
A. If only I knew, Dan! I always assumed that the song was on the LIFE Limited Edition Single, but it isn’t. So I really have no idea where you can get it. From my understanding, it is not even available on iTunes.

Q. Does ZOEgirl have any DVD’s? Is there a ZOEgirl book?
–>Asked by Pedro
A. Yes. ZOEgirl only has one DVD, called “Real LIFE”. It’s out of print, so you can only buy it off Amazon or Ebay. Even though there are reports of a DVD single called “You Get Me,” there actually isn’t a DVD featuring this video (according to Alex from ZOEgirl.ca). It was planned, but never released.

ZOEgirl also has their own book in the “Backstage Exclusive” series by Mark Smeby. This can only be found on Amazon and Ebay as well. There are also songbooks available for the debut album as well as Different Kind of Free.

Q. What happened to ColmanBlue?
–>Asked by many people!
A. ColmanBlue broke up. No explanation was given. But it was most likely due to Chrissy’s Kristin’s pregnancy. See my page on ColmanBlue.

Q. Are the members of ZOEgirl on Facebook?
–>Asked by Lucy
A. Yes, both officially and through their private accounts. I have Alisa as a friend on my personal account, but the other two did not add me back. You can easily find them. Please do not e-mail me for links.

  1. Hilary says:

It should say it was Kristin’s pregnancy, not Chrissy’s

Is there any chance of ColmanBlue’s re-starting after Kristin’s kids get a little older? JW

    • Hey Art!

No, I don’t think they’ll get back together because they direct messaged Alex on Twitter and said they are no longer continuing as a group. They didn’t say it was a temporary break, and they avoided the topic on the Brian Mason reunion interview, so I doubt it.

    oh okay, thanks!
